Bio
Hi, I’m Cheryl. I believe deeply in the power of empathy and human connection. Having walked through my own experiences of relational pain, I carry a deep compassion for those who are hurting. My own journey has taught me about resilience and renewal, and it has shaped the way I show up for others: with empathy, without judgment, and with a strong belief that healing is possible, even in the hardest of places.
My passion is walking alongside adolescents, individuals, and couples as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re untangling old patterns, exploring who you are becoming, or simply longing for a safe place to be heard, I would be honoured to partner with you in that process.
As a Master’s level intern therapist, I am supervised by senior clinicians at Therapevo, ensuring you receive the highest quality of care.
My Approach
My first priority is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, valued, and truly understood. People often describe my style as calm, compassionate, and encouraging. I believe therapy is not something I do to you, but something we engage in together. We will tailor our work to your unique story and your goals.
My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in leading therapeutic models, but what matters most is how they can help you:
For Individuals (Attachment, IFS & Somatic Work): We can explore how past experiences, especially from childhood, may be shaping your present-day relationships. I’ll help you understand your internal patterns and connect with your body to release stored tension and trauma, creating space for new ways forward.
For Couples (Emotionally Focused Therapy): I help couples get to the root of their conflict by understanding the emotional needs that aren’t being met. We’ll work to rebuild your bond, improve communication, and find your way back to a safe and secure connection.
If my approach resonates with you, I invite you to schedule a free, 20-minute consultation. It’s a simple way for us to connect and see if we’re the right fit.
