Bio

Hi, I’m Alicia. I’m a counselling intern completing my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University, and I care deeply about giving you a gentle, inclusive space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

Counselling with me is warm and collaborative. Together we’ll explore the stories and relationships that have shaped your life, at a pace that feels safe for you. Whether you come as an individual, a couple, or a family, my focus is on helping you navigate what’s hard right now, build stronger connections, and move toward what matters most to you. I’m especially passionate about walking alongside neurodivergent individuals and the families who support them.

When I’m not with clients, you’ll find me studying, exploring new coffee shops, or out with my husband and our dog. I love walks in nature, crafty projects, and a good cheesy movie.

My Approach

I work from an attachment-focused lens. That means we’ll look together at how your experiences in relationships have shaped the way you understand yourself, connect with others, and respond when you feel hurt, disconnected, or under stress. Understanding those patterns is often the first step toward changing them.

You set the pace. My role is to offer warmth, curiosity, and collaboration so that you feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, whether that’s an old story that keeps repeating, a relationship that feels stuck, or a season of life that’s asking more of you than you have to give.

As a counselling intern, I continue to grow my skills in approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and neuro-affirming practices. I adapt each session to what feels most supportive for you rather than fitting you into a single method.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I invite you to schedule a free, 20-minute consultation. It’s a relaxed way for us to get to know each other and decide together if we’re a good fit.
