Bio
I have loved helping people since I was young. I grew up in B.C. and Saskatchewan, and after high school I earned my B.A. in Theology from Ambrose University College in Calgary, then spent more than 15 years working as a pastor. I am currently finishing my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Briercrest Seminary. I live in Regina with my wife and kids.
Since entering the field of counselling, I have come to see how fortunate I am to be part of people’s stories. I have witnessed firsthand the hope that can come when people are truly seen, heard and understood.
My Approach
I believe everyone carries a story, and that the experiences in it have shaped who they are and the challenges they face now. I am a warm, empathetic listener, and I want to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
My hope is to walk alongside you as you explore those experiences, recognize your strengths and find ways forward that fit what matters to you. Counselling is collaborative, and I believe you are often the best source of understanding about what will help your well-being. As a counselling intern completing my master’s degree under clinical supervision, I draw on client-centred and narrative-informed therapy.
